Lexical typology of OLD

讲座提要：This talk considers the results of an extensive
cross-linguistic investigation of the domain of OLD. The research establishes
the main tendencies in lexification of OLD: the main semantic oppositions
expressed lexically and the main types of systems presented in natural
languages.
主讲人简介：Professor Doctor Ekaterina Rakhilina is a specialist in
Russian and general semantics and lexicography, lexical typology, cognitive
linguistics and construction grammar. She graduated from Moscow State Lomonosov
University (1980), and is currently head of the School of Linguistics at
National Research University Higher School of Economics (Moscow) and a leading
scientific researcher at the Vinogradov Institute for Russian Language of
Russian Academy of Sciences. Her main work includes monographs "Guide in Russian
discourse words" (Moscow, 1993, co-authored with A. N. Baranov and V. A.
Plungian), "Cognitive analysis of names of objects: semantics and combinability"
(Moscow, 2000; 2nd edition, 2010), "Linguistics of constructions" (Moscow,
2010), as well as several edited volumes on lexical typology and many articles
in Russian and European journals.
